What does a well-designed website mean? ;
1. Web core vitals are important
On Google's pagespeed page I get measurements for the performance of my website.
My new website needs to be built with web core vitals in mind.
It doesn't really matter if the mobile speed is 90 or 99, both values evaluate the page as fast, but on the other hand, since I'm building a new website in 2025, it should have at least a mobile pagespeed > 70.
I would say it is better to aim from the beginning for a mobile pagespeed greater than 80 and a desktop pagespeed > 95.
Also, the other page speed metrics are important. (seo summary, accessibility, best practices)
They show us if our pages are structured correctly, the meta tags of each element of the page are completed, and if robots can read the information on our website in order to serve it.
And that's why I start designing the website by aiming for metrics above 95 in these categories.
2. Mobile view
Over 70% of website visitors they will try to interact (e.g. search for information, fill out a form or purchase a product) with it from a mobile device.
The design and proper functioning of the website must be built based on mobile navigation, this will largely determine the efficiency of our website.
3. I don't want to lose what I've built over all my years of presence. my in terms of traffic
I make sure that our website urls remain the same or always redirect to new pages.
When the page goes live and for a while I monitor the page for any 404 errors that resulted from the rebuild and proceed with appropriate redirects.
4. Add online communication
On the new page, I will pay close attention to providing the appropriate calls to action, whether these are contact points, forms that the user fills out to get information, or purchase buttons, etc. Now I will go one step further and provide the ability to communicate online with the user, whether it is online chat, Viber or Facebook Messenger. This can significantly improve the interaction with the user.
It is important that the online chat is positioned so that it does not affect the website's functions (e.g. placing an order) when browsing from mobile devices.
