Rebuilding my website in 2024. what should I pay attention to?

Web core vitals and their importance for my website.

On the website https://pagespeed.web.dev we can test the performance of our website according to Google.

It gives us separate metrics for mobile and computer navigation and focuses on 4 different areas

  1. The speed of our website (how fast it loads)
  2. Accessibility (i.e. whether it follows the WCAG 2.0 standard so that it can be read by different tools for people with visual impairments, from web robot.txt)
  3. If best practices are followed. For example, if the photos are the appropriate dimensions, if there are no errors in the code, etc.
  4. SEO. If there are metadata and code snippets on our page and if they are correctly completed, If the photos have descriptions (the alt tag is present and completed, etc.)

In the year 2024 there is a huge amount of websites for every topic that claims organic traffic but also paid from google and other search engines. For our new page to have luck it is essential that it has a high rating in the individual sectors from google otherwise I start from a disadvantageous position whether I want to do SEO or ADWORDS campaigns.

In our office, when we deliver a new website, we attach great importance to the page being rated excellently by Google, like this one.

so that in the long term we achieve the best results for our clients.

This is a point that needs a little attention because even nowadays most people deliver pages with a very low score to Google for reasons of convenience or because the client is not aware, etc.

The above is just the tip of an iceberg called website performance and of course it all starts with the right design. If there is no right design, e.g. the page loads slowly, has errors, etc. then the problem is transferred to SEO which I may choose to do in paid ads and in improving the performance (convention rate)

That's why it's good to start off on the right foot with my website.
